TRAINING and RE-SCHOOLING - GROUND MANNERS 

The training of a young horse, and sometimes the re-schooling of an older horse, begins with Ground Manners: 

Being able to be led correctly; standing  quietly in cross-ties for grooming and  tacking; 

having his feet picked up;

Standing quietly for the blacksmith, the vet, the dentist; 

and loading onto a trailer.

She has also given a Ground Manners Clinic.
